Dog Training in Delaware

We offer personalized dog training in the Delaware area. As a mobile dog trainer, we come to you to ensure your dog receives personal and compassionate care in safe, comfortable, and familiar locations. Our goal is to help understand and modify different unwanted dog behaviors like excessive barking, jumping, licking, separation anxiety, destructive behavior, and more!

Services Offered

Personalized Dog Training
Our personalized dog training programs to ensure your dog is given the best environment to learn, and we work to give you and your family the tools to maintain a calm and happy life with your dog.

We begin with meeting your dog and completing an assessment of your dog’s manners and unwanted behaviors during our initial consultation.

Next, we form a plan of action to help modify those behaviors and we coach owners through each step of the process, helping you create a stronger bond with your dog. We also provide you with resources and a full session summary at the end of each session.

Puppy Training
A Puppy’s first few months of life are a crucial time for them to learn what they need to know to be a well-adjusted dog.
We believe puppy training takes the guesswork out of how to properly start your dog on the right paw.

Our trainer will work with you and your dog to establish better habits and behaviors to ensure a successful path forward as your puppy grows into your life. You will learn the basics of how to care for, teach, and raise your puppy to be a well-adjusted companion. During your sessions, we will provide lessons and guidance with basic obedience commands like attention, sit, stay, come, potty training, and more.

Canine and Equine Massage
Massage therapy brings many similar benefits to animals as it does for humans. Massage and Reiki help promote a relaxed state of being and help reduce stress for animals, which also leads to a decrease in unwanted behavior, as many of these are caused by stress. Additionally, animals recovering from injuries, experiencing joint or muscle pain, and even animals with a history of abuse can reap the benefits of gentle touch and energy.

Vet and Grooming Training Visits
We understand the stress that comes with bringing your dog to the vet or a grooming appointment. Our dog Ricky presented many stressful behaviors and gave us firsthand experience in understanding and working to modify them. Although he will never truly love his visits, we have worked with Ricky to ensure a less stressful process.

At Trusting Hands for Animals our trainer helps dogs in conquering their fear of veterinary and grooming appointments by employing positive reinforcement, counterconditioning, and desensitization techniques. Our goal is to transition apprehensive dogs into cooperative participants.
